Experienced architect

White Arkitekter in Malmö is looking for an experienced architect to join its growing design team!

You need to be genuinely interested in sustainable design, keen to learn and develop your career and enjoy working collaboratively with others to meet deadlines and achieve project objectives. We also see that you have a strong set of organizational skills, and the ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and take the initiative in response to direction from managers. 

You will be working as part of a team in Malmö, although you must be flexible to work between offices in Sweden and the UK if required. Therefore, your ability to work independently from remote locations is essential. We also appreciate your flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working. 

We expect you to have experience working with residential development and mixed-use master planning in both urban and rural contexts. The experience in working with urban planning systems and codes in UK and Sweden is essential. Experience from the broader Scandinavian and German regions is a merit. 

To succeed in this position, we also see that you have a proven track record of:

• Experience with technical detailing, construction documentation, and preparing design and access statements. 
• Strong conceptual, design, and graphic skills
• Ability to resolve technical and design challenges through innovative thinking 
• Knowledge of contemporary and exemplary reference projects.
• Exposure to management and coordination of project stakeholders, local authorities and approving bodies, and sub-consultants
• Ability to develop design options in collaboration with the design team
• Ability to prepare, develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to the project

 Requirements

•  Professional qualification as an Architect SAR/MSA, as well as RIBA part 3 / ARB registration, is essential.
• +5 years post qualification experience as an Architect
• Strong ability with Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Suite 
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Full professional proficiency in English and professional working proficiency in a Scandinavian language.
